Making an Impact

Individuals and school Vanguard Teams develop Impact Plans each year to move the work forward in our schools. Individuals and teams develop a SMART goal to guide their plan, targeting a specific professional development initiative or school goal and outlining measurable action steps to impact teaching and learning.

Vanguard members earn XP points for completing this work.  Vanguard member can also earn additional XP points from mentoring others or showcasing their own technology integration.

The Vanguard team is currently focusing its work on building teacher capacity related to three of the ISTE Standards for Students (1.3, 1.6, and 1.7). 

In addition to these standards, we are also allowing Vanguard members to align their Impact Plans to selected topics that are key focus areas for our district.  These focus areas are
1.1 Empowered Learner
-- FCS focus on Literacy
-- FCS focus on Canvas Integration (middle school and high school only)
1.2 Digital Citizen
-- FCS focus on Artificial Intelligence and responsible use (middle school and high school only)
